Nap Time!

Well, the past 6 months have FLOWN by, and I feel like I need to s-l-o-w everything down and make sure I remember this time of our life. I tried the print journal, which I have from when he was in the hospital, and I'll certainly keep that one going too, but I still wanted something more.

Last sunday, 1 day after turning 6 months, Noah was baptized at the First Congregational Church of Wareham, but Rev Bob. Noah fussed during the service, but he did great during the ceremony. He kept reaching for Rev. Bob's face, I think, because of his beard. Afterwards, we stayed for fellowship, and for the first time, Noah reached for food. He leaned over and stuck his mouth on the side of my coffee cup. It was the saddest/cutest thing. I'm not ready for him to grow up. I know we'll still wait til December to introduce solids, but I'm still sad that he is showing signs of readiness. And I know he does "get it" because he also has tried to eat other snacks out of my hand since then.

Today, EI came. Noah got tired and fussy in the end but did great for the most part. She used a bouncy ball and put it on the ground in front of him. He put his hands on it. She then bounced her hands on it, and when she was done, he copied her! I couldn't believe it! She also made some suggestions to help encourage him to roll. I told her that he does sometimes, but she said he may just be "flipping" and not truly rolling (and there is a difference).

So far, Noah is smiling (LOTS), holding his head up very high. It is especially cute when he is in the co-sleeper, and I'm in the bed. If he is awake he'll often just push up on his arms and look over at me and give this huge smile. I want to get a picture of it, but it is usually so dark (since he was sleeping) that I don't know if a picture would work. He's also very good at holding his weight on his legs, and kicking. His FAVORITE time is the tub. He also likes to "talk" and I could listen all day.

I look at him sometimes, and I can't believe that I have him, and how much I love him. He is such a treasure, and I don't want to forget every change he goes through and all of his sweet little milestones.
